Process: Watercolor WIP-3

And here I did the orange dappatha and the brown hair. And a you can see I went back over the yellow to make it a bit more bright and saturated. I'm thinking it might look a bit over worked.

However, I do think the contrast between the blue and the orange is working well, so I do use more orange in the yellow shadows to play that up.

In the end this definitely turns out to be a blue and orange painting. But that's good. Contrast seems to be a major theme here.

And randomly, if you happen to see an ad on my page (to the right) about a free watercolor book, you should click and get it. I got the book (without clicking on my ads! I know that's against the rules!!) it was actually quite helpful and had some nice images and techniques and ways of thinking about painting.
I haven't seen it in a few weeks, but to tell you the truth ads just sort of fade into the background for me now. But I did find that one helpful and I just thought I'd let everyone know! (plus I get a few pennies out of it!)
